3 minutes of peace
On Friday I read a news that was very touching but also made me mad and upset. Thanks to an agreement several families who are living separated by the border got to reunite in the banks of the Rio Grande river for three minutes. It was very touching seeing family members who hadn't seen each other for years reunite. It personally gets me mad that families have to live with separation for years and how exactly is 3 minutes enough? I just feel like our government should be better than that.

I saw this video too and it completely melted my heart. I couldn't even imagine being in that type of situation and not seeing my family every day. Even though it is sad maybe this was a step forward towards gaining more rights for these types of situations. Maybe next time they will be granted a full day or during the holidays. The optimistic in me wants to think we are moving forward.
