In Columbia, voters have decided, (by less than 1%) to remain at war with the FARC. Columbia has been at war with the FARC since 1960. If the vote was passes, FARC agreed to leave the country, stop all ties to cocaine smuggling, as well as help locate and destroy all landmines. They have also agreed to apologize to the victims families.
It is hard to imagine living in a country that has been at war since the 1960s. I think what is boggling my mind is why they would not vote to end the war? 1%!!! 1%! That small number! That one precent is still holding back the country of Columbia. I just do not understand why you would want to live in a country with war. Why would you want your children to grown up in a country that is constantly at war?
I sure hope that Columbia figures out what to do, and they can end the war that has been going on for more than 50 years.
