I think most of us agree that class outside was awesome and I hope we can do that more often, especially as the weather gets better and better. I think it was perfect that we were talking about the environment as we were sitting outside enjoying the weather. Since Thursday after class, i have been making a conscious effort to pick up trash i see. I know i used to not even really pay attention at all. Random thought but, i feel like i am one of the few people who actually pick up after their dog and i really cant stand that most people don't. I seem to always be the one that steps on dog shit so yeah it's annoying. Pick up after your pets people :)
After class thursday, my phone was dead and i was so happy that it was. I actually enjoyed being outside and walking through campus and enjoying my surroundings. I wish more people would get off their phones and PAY ATTENTION. Of course i am guilty of having my headphones in, phone in hand, head down as i walk to class, ride the bus, etc. but Thursday made me just take a moment and realize i don't need to do that. Also, i have reusable HEB bags at home and i seriously ALWAYS forget to bring them when i go buy groceries but now i want to make sure i bring them everytime. Little things add up! Everyone needs a water bottle.. I wish people would stop buying plastic bottles :/ Sadly, i typed that as i have a plastic water bottle right beside me but that's only because i got it from work for free.. ha but forreal reusable water bottles are the best!
Now that we decided on topics for issue analysis (Syrian Refugees is ours) i am looking into things about refugees and i found this video. It is about a refugee exhibit that was created and it shows people what it is like to be forced out of your own homes. This is the case for as many as 65 million people around the world. Its very sad. But I found this interesting so i attached the link.
