The Columbian Conflict

People in Columbia are voting to accept a peace deal between the government and the rebels. This 52 year old conflict has killed 260000 people and injured more than six million. These numbers are quite alarming and it is beyond time for a change. For those who do not know The Farc rebels are the largest rebel group in Columbia. Their main founders were small farmers and land workers. They have 20,000 active fighters. The rebels will participate in elections in 2018, this could be a great step towards peace for Columbia.
