First off... WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS WORLD??!! On Friday night, (last night), there was a shooting at a Washington mall. According to CNN.com, the shooter walked into the mall unarmed, killed 4 women in the makeup department, and then shot a man, who later died at the hospital. The man later walked out of the mall without a trace. The shooter is STILL on the loose. I am extremely mind boggled at the thought of someone walking into a mall, unarmed, murdering 5 people, and walking out without a trace. When you think about going shopping at a mall, you do not think something is going to go wrong, let a lone, be shopping in the makeup department, and lose your life. A mall is, in a weird way, a "safe place"... a place you walk freely, and never (or hardly ever) look behind your shoulder. Now, I will be looking over my shoulder.

This is extremely scary! It is weird that I often imagine when I am in a big lecture classroom that someone is just going to walk in and open fire? I often have this underlying feeling. People often target places with a mass amount of people and no easy way out. It is sad that I as a citizen of the US have this feeling. I am sorry to those who lost their lives in this tragic pointless event, prayers to their families.

ReplyDeleteI was just reading this same article and thinking the same thing. What is wrong with our world??? I don't understand all of the senseless violence. I personally love going to the mall and go pretty often. I don't want to have have to feel unsafe every time I want to go shopping and the same goes for when I'm working too.
