unaware of so many things

I am I have actually been listening to npr when in my car and i was surprised at how much i actually enjoy it. I thought i would try it out and find it extremely boring and never listen to it again but that's not the case at all. I am excited to start reading the newspaper and learning more about what is going on right here in San Marcos/Austin area because honestly i feel like i know NOTHING :(. Also, i am finding myself having more and more conversations with people about politics and actually important things going on in the world we live in and it makes me feel great. My roommates and I went to dinner friday and i was telling them so many different things we have discussed in class and we were all so into the conversations and felt like we needed to change the world. The documentary really makes me angry and opened my eyes so much. It is crazy how there is literally a line that divided the richest of the rich and the poorest of the poor. If only the rich could help the people that really need it instead of blowing it on useless and unnecessary things. Who needs a 35,000 sq. ft home... NO ONE! America is said to be the land of opportunity and if you work hard enough you can make it big but sadly that is not true at all. College has gotten ridiculously expensive and it is so hard for many to even think about going because of the cost. No one should have to live in debt their whole lives because of student loans. Can't wait to learn much more this semester. Also cant wait to see where this facebook thing goes next. Go Kelly Stone!!!
